Here I share some information about accessing antenna port “M” on the Arcadyan KVD21 gateway for installation of an external antenna. However first some important considerations: The gateway must be returned to T-Mobile undamaged (at termination of service or upon their requests for replacement, upgrades, etc.).The Arcadyan KVD21 requires a USB-C PD type power supply that can provide 3 amps of current at DC 15V (45 watts). Therefore the more common USB power supply or charger that only provides 5 volts will not work with the Arcadyan KVD21. Nor will USB-C PD type chargers (or supplies) that provide a maximum 9 or 12 volts.KVD21 Antenna Mods, Thermal Images, Manufacturing Defects. I was able to go from shaky af n71 to stronk n41 by unclipping some of the antennas so they weren't blocked by the internal electronics. Speed went from 15/10 to 350/49! Most are light enough to just place in position, the LTE-D antenna clips really well onto two plastic nubs pictured.The only option available is to separate the 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands, SSIDs and Passwords.
